Here are a few things to implement into your hair washing routine at home...
1. DETANGLE PRIOR TO WASHING! - That's right. Get all those tangles out first to avoid breakage.
2. GET SOAKED! - Before you even think about applying shampoo, make sure your hair is completely saturated under the water for about a minute. This will open the pores on your scalp allowing it to be more responsive to the cleansing product (shampoo).
3. LATHER UP! - A Teaspoon can go a long way. If you need to wash twice, then go for it. The first shampoo (using a teaspoon amount) will get the dirt off. The second shampoo will deep clean. And remember, you only need to condition your ends.
4. RINSE! - Take the extra time to rinse your hair thoroughly. Believe it or not a reason your locks are looking dull could be shampoo & conditioner build up. If you feel like you need to leave in your conditioner to aid in detangling, I suggest opting for a detangler instead.
